The aquarium in La Rochelle is located just an hour's drive from Le Clos des Pins.
In the town centre, opposite the Vieux Port (old port), discover one of the largest private aquariums in Europe.
For 2 hours you can explore the depths of the oceans and encounter over 12,000 creatures of the deep, whilst marvelling at the biodiversity of the Atlantic, the Mediterranean and the Tropics.
Within the 3-million litres of seawater, you see everything from fragile jellyfish… to fascinating sharks, in what is a unique voyage enabling you to be inspired by and gain a greater understanding of the sea. The extras for the visit include: the audio-guide (adults, children) and its anecdotes, which reveal the secrets of underwater life !
And for the children at the exhibition, there is a circuit geared especially around them… so they too can learn like the older visitors. There are new features on every visit, as well as various exhibitions in the entrance hall, which are free of charge. The “Mémoires d'Océans” shop boasts an original selection of souvenirs.
On the second floor, which can be accessed independently of the visit, you can benefit from the tropical atmosphere of “Le Café de l'Aquarium” and its organic products using a seasonal pass.
